Testimonial: Emergency sticker of the DoctorBox app
My name is Julian Sauer and I am 31 years old. I work as an emergency doctor myself and live in Stuttgart. I came across the DoctorBox app when I was looking for an app to help me organise my medical data and documents, but also to share them with my doctor or a first responder in an emergency.
When I landed on the DoctorBox app website, I discovered the emergency sticker feature. I was immediately excited about this idea, because I knew that this sticker could save lives in an emergency. I decided to get one by ordering it from the website.
After a few days, the emergency sticker arrived by post. Then I opened the DoctorBox app to set up the sticker. First, I had to scan the QR code on the sticker to establish a connection between the sticker and my app. Then I was prompted to enter my medical information.
I could enter my allergies, illnesses, medications and other information that I felt was important in case of an emergency. I could also leave an emergency contact for the first aider to contact. I could also leave a living will in case I would not be able to make decisions in an emergency.
After that, I could configure the emergency sticker with my settings and save it. I stuck the sticker on my smartphone so it was always at hand.
In an emergency, a first responder can scan the QR code on the sticker to see the information I have set. The first responder only sees the information that I thought was important for the emergency and that I entered in the app.
I am very happy with the app and the function of the emergency sticker. It gives me a good feeling that I am well prepared in case of an emergency and that the first aider can access my medical information quickly and easily.
