Dr Oliver Miltner and Stefan C. Heilmann recognised the potential of a holistic, digital healthcare offering many years ago. The vision behind DoctorBox is to enable a healthier, longer life for everyone with digital solutions. The well-being and independence of patients are at the centre of this.

‘We want to give patients back the right to their health data,’ says Dr Oliver Miltner. ‘Thanks to advances in medicine, we are getting older and older, but we are also getting sicker and sicker as we get older. By digitalising health, we can improve the course of diseases, give people a chance to stay healthy for longer and manage their own health.’ The digital networking of service providers is crucial here.

One of the biggest challenges here is designing a data-secure infrastructure, one of our milestones. DoctorBox is end-to-end encrypted and uses servers exclusively on German soil.

Before DoctorBox, Dr Oliver Miltner successfully opened his practice for orthopaedics, trauma and hand surgery in the heart of Berlin. Miltner is therefore familiar with the opportunities that arise for doctors through the digitalisation of work processes. Thanks to his close contact with patients, he also recognises their concerns, especially when it comes to data protection.

In addition to his role as CEO of DoctorBox, Stefan C. Heilmann heads the IEG Investment Banking Group. With the experience he has gained in advising eHealth companies, he is driving digitalisation in the healthcare sector.
